YONO (You Know) Labs developed an in-ear wearable device that will help women track their ovulation cycles, so that one’s fertility window is best determined. This device should help couples in trying to make a baby and when family planning.
The trickiest part when trying to get pregnant is monitoring the
basal body temperature or BBT. When a woman’s body has finished
ovulating and when the ovary has released an egg, the BBT slightly
increases. However, a woman’s most fertile period is days after the BBT
increases, which is quite tricky to monitor without a special device.
Usually, women use the BBT thermometer, but it can be quite
inconvenient to use. Women will have to monitor their temperature every
morning before making any muscle movement. All results are to be charted
every day. Also, for the temperature to be accurate, women must get at
least three hours of interrupted sleep. That means just one restless
night could make an impact on the whole chart. This is why it often
takes 30-60 days to see a pattern.
In hindsight, that is what every woman has to go through when they
want to get pregnant. YONO’s in-ear wearable device aims to remove all
these steps and make the process more effortless and convenient for
women.
The YONO in-ear device can be easily worn while a woman is asleep and
it automatically measures the accurate BBT temperature and record the
data. That is more than 70 data points collected every night.
The YONO App analyses the data and give the user an analysis of the
pattern to determine the best fertility window to make a baby. And if
you’re into family planning, knowing the pattern will also help you
prevent unplanned pregnancies.
While the YONO wearable device seems like the other wearable
fertility tracker devices out there, what makes this one special is that
you won’t even notice that you are wearing one.
