Artificially Intelligent Desk Anticipates Your Day’s Demands

Autonomous Desk is a ergonomic desk with a Siri-esque A.I. assistant

Robotbase’s Autonomous Desk will work with your phone to track your health, beginning your work day at your preferred height. You can speak with its Siri-esque A.I. as though it were a real person, and it will not only respond to your commands but anticipate your needs as it learns your daily routine.
An integrated sensor will tell when you’ve arrived at your desk, and will automatically adjust the height while the A.I. notifies you of the events for your day, which it receives either through your direct input or by interfacing with the scheduling app on your phone.
Over the weeks, Autonomous Desk’s A.I. will learn about you with each interaction. Its voice recognition will understand your accent, slang and pronunciation and it will develop a database of playlists, preferred restaurants and even your preferences in different weather conditions. If your room includes Bluetooth-powered controls, it will interface with those devices to adjust lights, temperature and security at your command.

The desk itself was built to be attractive and durable, with the option of oak veneer, walnut veneer, solid white, solid black or bamboo for color. The silent motor is powerful and maintenance-free, and the legs can hold up to 350 pounds. The A.I. unit includes a wireless phone charger, and the table’s front is curved for use as an arm rest.
Most of the backer rewards are different versions of pre-orders, ranging from a frame-only model for people with a work surface they like for $299, an early-bird special that doesn’t include the AI for $399 and the full model for $599.
As of May 11, the campaign has raised $101,000-plus of their $50,000 goal with 19 days do go. Assuming supply chain problems don’t arise from overshooting their projections in the next month, they aim for delivery of their first production run by September of this year.
