The Oroeco App and Climate Change Game Gets You to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
If you need incentive to reduce your carbon footprint, this
climate change game is one way to go. Although people will generally
agree saving the earth is a good thing, most don't want to actually put
in the work to change or alter their daily habits. To address this,
Oroeco recently launched an app that gamifies environmentally friendly
acts. App founder Ian Monroe explains "public engagement is the biggest
missing piece in solving our climate change puzzle."
Even though an eco crisis might seem overwhelming to tackle, individual
action is the key to progress with this issue. Available for free, the
iOS app calculates your personal carbon footprint and contextualizes the
information based on a local average. From there the climate change
game offers offsetting acts you can take, save money and earn badges.
